Clear answers for families, caregivers and organisations considering Elder SOS.
Who is Elder SOS designed for?
It is designed for older adults, people who may need a simple way to call for assistance, their families and caregivers, and organisations supporting older-adult wellbeing.
What happens when the SOS button is pressed?
The alert is linked to the enrolled person and presented to an operator. The operator follows the approved response plan, which may include attempting contact and notifying family, a caregiver, Paleon or another authorised responder, depending on the circumstances.
Does Elder SOS replace emergency services or a caregiver?
No. Elder SOS is an assistance and coordination service. It supplements—but does not replace—emergency services, professional medical care, in-person caregiving or normal safety planning.
What affects the response?
Response options depend on the enrolled care plan, connectivity, location, the ability to contact the client, and the availability of family, healthcare or emergency resources.
